The team running GrowItYork, our urban farm set in a container, are featured in a case study which has been shared by our collaborators LettUsGrow.
Prof Katherine Denby set up the farm in 2021 and is leading the initiative that is growing and providing food at the heart of the community. You can read more about the journey of the farm in two previous blogs: Sparking interest in community vertical farming and GrowItYork, believing in healthy food.
LettUsgrow is the dynamic team behind the containers: growers, engineers, plant scientists, software developers and business experts, who all care deeply about food and the environment. They design and build aeroponic technology and farm management software for indoor and vertical farms. They have ben working closely with us, supporting every step of the way to explore our exciting initiative.
Their case study shines a light on our farm and its benefits to the community so far. You can also take a peak at the farm if you visit Spark:York, its upstairs, you cant miss the bright pink container and through the window you can get a great view of the inside of the farm!
