Rebecca is focusing on governance for transforming food systems in Yorkshire. Previous to this she contributed to the Harvesting the Sun Twice project exploring how social factors might shape spatial suitability for Agri voltaic systems in East Africa. She also assisted on the Sensors for Clean Water project for the Stockholm Environment Institute exploring user-directed translation of new technologies. Rebecca’s PhD focused on sustainable land use planning in Zanzibar, where she used a water, energy and food nexus framework to support the development of sustainable land use plans. Her research approach involved connecting local community insights and experience into formal decision-making processes. Prior to this she carried out her MSc research in Kenya where she investigated land use and land cover implications for beekeeping livelihoods.
